“I don’t want us to see us descend into a nation of bloggers,” says Jobs. “I think we need editorial oversight now more than ever. Anything we can do to help newspapers find new ways of expression that will help them get paid, I am all for.”
I think that as the next generation of journalists emerge they will form themselves into loose networks with senior people who advise and mentor the upcoming group so that they have the “editorial” oversight that jobs mentions, but without the “big business” overtones. Hyper-local news….(maybe I’ll save that for next time)
