VidBlaster: Blast your video everywhere!
by Darren on Jul.23, 2008, under General, Media, eLearning, tool
VidBlaster is a relatively new product from Mike Versteeg, well known for his work on CastBlaster, a podcast production tool.
I tiraled the product with a simple 2 camera set-up using ambient light. Have a look and see for yourself!
Leave a comment about how you think you could use this product?
BTW, if you are using Firefox (as I would recommend!) you may need this plugin which allows you to run windows media inside of firefox.

Last.fm revisited
by Darren on Apr.04, 2008, under Media
I havn’t used last.fm for quite a while, but today I needed music to help me think and opened up Last.fm again…and I remember why I liked this service. It selected music that I liked (similar to U2) and streamed really well and I enjoyed listening and even discovered some new stuff!
A great non-traditional productivity tool!!
Cracking the online market
by Darren on Apr.03, 2008, under Media
On last nights 7:30 Report (ABC 1) had an interesting story titled Cracking the online market. I caught the second half of the story which focussed on the online television industry and its product placement monitisation. Really interesting stuff to the new media crowd.
You can watch it here: http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/ and look for Cracking the online market.
